Updated Statement of Intent

In December 2024, the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, Senator the Hon Murray Watt, issued an updated Ministerial Statement of Expectations to the SRCC as a regulator under the SRC Act and the Work, Health and Safety Act 2011.

The Statement of Expectations provides the Minister’s expectations of regulators under the Regulator Performance guide in line with their statutory objectives. In response, at its March meeting, the SRCC considered and endorsed its revised Statement of Intent.

The endorsed Statement of Intent has been provided to the Minister and will be shortly published to the SRCC website, alongside the updated Statement of Expectations.

Next meeting

The next meeting of the SRCC will be held on 12 June 2025.
