Outcomes from 13 June 2024 SRCC meeting

The SRCC met on 13 June 2024 to consider regulatory issues and the quarter three performance reports of individual licensees.

Review of standard licence period

Following consultation with stakeholders including union affiliates and licensees, the SRCC agreed within the context of the existing policy, that it will, for the next 12 months, grant and extend licences for a period of up to four years, after which time it will reassess this position.

Licence extensions

The SRCC granted self-insurance licence extensions for a four-year period for the following entities under section 105 of the SRC Act:

• National Australia Bank Limited;
• K & S Freighters Pty Limited;
• John Holland Group Pty Ltd;
• John Holland Pty Ltd;
• John Holland Rail Pty Ltd;
• Bis Industries Limited; and
• Virgin Australia Airlines Pty Ltd.

The next meeting of the SRCC will be held on 5 September 2024.
